With the fall season in full swing my wardrobe has been transitioning from summer to winter and it can always be a bit of a struggle figuring out what needs to stay and what needs to go as the we all know living in the NW it can be rain one day and sunny the next. I received my latest Trunk from Trunk Club and have to be honest, it’s my best one yet! My Trunk Club stylist, Shannon, really nailed it for fall. With the focus on blending some new essentials with my personal closet, my Trunk helped me try some new trends that I never was really drawn to before. I was even able to share with her my Pinterest board so she could see what had been catching my eye from interior design to decorations for upcoming holidays.
Trunk Club has made it super simple to consistently try new styles. By having a stylist pick
items for me to try on, I’m encouraged to break out of style ruts that I never knew I was
stuck in. Usually when I go shopping I stick to brands and styles that I feel comfortable with,
rarely trying anything out of the ordinary for my closet. This Trunk was different. It featured
several statement pieces including booties from Marc Fisher, and colorful denim to
incorporate into my wardrobe. Red can be difficult for me to fall in love with, but the darker
red suede gave off a sense of luxury and class.
I also loved this top by PAIGE that my stylist Shannon included. First off, I have always loved
PAIGE for denim but have never owned any of their tops before. This piece had amazing
drape to it and is excellent to pair with a long coat for brisk fall walks or going form dressed
up to dressed down. Surprisingly I love just laying around the house in it with some
boyfriend jeans too.
Another favorite in my Fall Essentials Trunk was this lace trim skirt by Lewit that really took
me the most out of my comfort zone. I have never been a big fan of dots but when I saw this
skirt I fell in love it. You can pair it with a high boot or a chic black heel.
It was nice to be able to take some more print risks with this Trunk and shift my fall style a
bit from years in the past. Above all I think just feeling comfortable in your wardrobe is the
most important, having courage to try new colors, prints and silhouettes. That’s really where
Trunk Club personal stylists step in to send you pieces that you’ll love but may not have
picked out yourself.
